17th May 2024 - Unfortunately due to lack of entries and/or interest in Patmos Ave Hillclimb, it is not viable to run it. Therefore the event is now cancelled!
Club members have diverse interests, rallying, circuit racing, hillclimbs, sprints, and autocross.
The Otago Sports Car Club has been around since 1947 and is one of the founding clubs for Motorsport New Zealand.
We have a very successful Speed Championship which includes hill climb events on both gravel or tarseal. Within that championship we have a popular 2WD sealed championship across 3 rounds and the famous Speed weekend consisting of Whare flat and 3 Mile Hill road, hill climbs.
Club membership doesn’t stop at the hill climb level, autocrosses are a stepping stone a lot of new members use and some of our members compete in national rounds of both rally and race, including the well supported Endurance Series.
